Emerging stronger with IoT in Homes and Buildings

Date & time
Available On Demand

43 million homes were rented out within the last 6 months—in the US alone—despite COVID-19 related closures. But how can product managers create smart home solutions that allow property managers to enhance the tenant experience? Thankfully, innovators like SmartRent, a home automation company, are leveraging cellular IoT to break down this problem and create applications such as contactless touring of properties.

In this webinar, Mitch Karren, Chief Product Officer from SmartRent will share how they are using Twilio IoT to make it safer for building managers and owners to continue their work and minimize risk of COVID-19 exposure. Product managers, developers, and engineers who are building smart home and smart building solutions will leave the webinar feeling more confident in relying on cellular connectivity for their applications.

What you'll learn:

  • How does SmartRent use cellular IoT connectivity to enable property managers to offer contactless touring?
  • How did they manage network controls and complicated cost models?
  • What success did they see with this kind of application despite COVID-19?
  • How did they leverage Twilio to make it happen?
